It looks like it is getting some use? Beach? In my humble opinion it doesn't deserve the burial but I can completely relate to your 'love-the-process-hate-end-product' feeling. It happens.
I am a bit of a keeper. I like the shape and texture. Would another softer colour work? At the same time it is better to discard and continue on with something new.

No don't bury it. Pack it away and take it out again in a month or two and I am sure you will love it!
