Never mind the weather, lets stick together.

Mother nature seems to be throwing her toys out around the globe. She doesn't seem to need a particular season either.


Here in the Cape of Storms this is what it looked like when I actually ventured out (after checking the roof) Trust there to be snow on the mountains on Spring Day!
My thoughts lie with those in New Orleans and other places similarly affected.

Midweek weekend

A final word on my PIF's ~ Barb from Pannifers Food based in Canada has also received hers safe and sound, which I'm really pleased about.



This weekend it rained plenty with small patches of sunshine peeping through.



Up in Namakwa Land the flowers are apparently in full swing and down here farther south we're getting hints of spring.

Two down - one to go!

I've been a bit slow on the uptake recently but Kat from anything goes has also received her PIF I'm pleased to report.


(I hope you don't mind me using your shot Kat as I didn't take any of my own for some unaccountable reason.)

A great blog that manages to marry two of my lives ~ typography with a bit of chicken humour thrown in every now and again. In case 'one' starts to take 'oneself' too seriously.
I strongly advise a visit to acejet170 regularly.

Happiness is...

I'm very excited by the fact that Denise from Freshly Found has received her PIF gift. But I have to confess not nearly as much as by what she has managed to do with them. Take a look here!


I tried a new pattern and colour for these herb tags. The pattern reminded me of her blog which I love! Unfortunately I didn't wipe the oxide off the names well enough so the legibility is not what it should be. However I love trying new things so I'll put it down to experience.

Here's another thing that cheered my desk up this week.

Paying my dues

I had loads of fun making and wrapping my PIF's.

I'm a total sucker for boxes, ribbons, lables, and paper so this gave me a long needed excuse to pig out at Merrypack.

Now I've finally managed to put them in the post. Barb, Denise and Kat keep an eye out! Please let me know when you receive them ~ I really hope the Post Office here sticks to it's side of the bargain and that they get to you in one piece!



Oh, and beware they're a tad over packaged...that's me panicking.
